woman-arrested-with-cocaine-hidden-in-private-parts-and-stomach-daily-trust

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) done stopped a woman, Ihensekhien Miracle Obehi, from trying to do some shady business. She tried to sneak out a bunch of cocaine by hiding it in her private parts, stomach, and a fake bottom of her handbag, all while dressed in a hijab. But she got caught at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State on May 3, 2025, as she was about to hop on a flight to Iran via Doha. The NDLEA folks were onto her thanks to some good intel.

According to the Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, Femi Babafemi, they found three wraps of cocaine in her private part, two big parcels in her handbag, and 67 pellets of the stuff in her stomach. That’s a lot of drugs in one person’s body! They made her wait it out until she pooped out all 67 pellets over a few days. She claimed she was supposed to swallow 70 pellets but couldn’t handle it after 67, so she stashed the rest in her private parts. The total weight of all the cocaine she was carrying was 2.523kgs.

Meanwhile, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, a 22-year-old British guy named Campell Kaizra Kofi Johannes Slifer got caught with two suitcases full of Loud, a strong type of cannabis, weighing 37.60kgs. He said he’d been in trouble back in the UK for drug trafficking and robbery before. Campell admitted he was hired in London to go to Thailand, pick up some drugs, and bring them back to Nigeria.

In Niger State, NDLEA officers busted a fuel truck and three other vehicles carrying 246 bags of skunk, a type of cannabis, weighing a total of 3,047kgs. They arrested four guys involved in the operation. Over in Lagos, two suspects were nabbed with almost 110,000 pills of tramadol, swinol, and nitrozepam. And in Kaduna State, two more suspects were caught with 52.5kgs of skunk.

The NDLEA has been busy all over the place – from Kwara State to Bauchi State to Kano. They intercepted more drugs, including a huge stash of codeine syrup, more skunk, and even some Loud hidden in a pillow from Thailand. These guys are really cracking down on drug trafficking, and it’s a good thing they are. We don’t need all this dangerous stuff floating around our streets.

It’s crazy to think about how much effort people put into smuggling drugs. It’s such a risky business, and it’s not worth it in the end. These arrests show that the NDLEA is on top of their game, and they’re not letting anyone get away with breaking the law. So, kudos to them for keeping our communities safe from these harmful substances.
