FG’s Insecurity Crisis: Drifting Towards Misgovernance
The recent incidents of violence in Northern Nigeria have left communities in Borno and Zamfara States in mourning. The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) expressed deep sadness over the loss of lives in these tragic events. In Borno State, 40 farmers were brutally killed by suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, while in Zamfara State, 16 civilians lost their lives in an airstrike that mistakenly targeted a local vigilance group. These events serve as stark reminders of the ongoing threat posed by extremist groups like Boko Haram and the urgent need for enhanced security measures.
