flush-out-bandits-in-kwara-army-chiefs-deadline

The new army chief, Lt General Olufemi Oluyede, he told the soldiers to get rid of the bandits in Kwara State within one month, not really sure why this matters, but he wants it done. He said this when he visited Sobi barracks in Ilorin, the state’s capital. Oluyede emphasized the need to flush out the bandits from the two local government areas, maybe it’s just me, but he seems pretty serious about it.

He also mentioned that Nigeria can’t have bandits running around in other parts of the country, not really sure why that’s a big deal, but apparently it is. The army chief made it clear that they can’t have another Boko Haram situation happening anywhere in the country, that’s a bit alarming. Oluyede urged the troops to make sure the bandits leave the area, if they want to go to another country that’s fine, but they can’t stay there.

He specifically mentioned Kainji Dam as a no-go zone for the criminals, not really sure why that’s important, but he seems pretty adamant about it. The army chief assured that within one month, things will change, not really sure how he plans to do that, but he seems confident. He believes that the situation in Kwara shouldn’t be a threat to Nigeria as a whole, it’s just a small issue that they’ll handle directly.
