No reporters were there to greet him at the airport ’cause they weren’t told in advance, you know?
Apparently, the Deputy governor was taken to Abuja first for some secret illness treatment, and then off he went to Egypt for some heavy-duty medical stuff. The reporters who usually hang around the Deputy Governor’s office were like, “Yeah, we heard he’s back, but no one bothered to shoot us a message. We only found out after he was already in town.”
